Summary:
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through accurate inventory control, material handling, and document management. This position measures, weighs, and restocks material remnants, maintains production documentation, and ensures records are filed accurately and timely. The Warehouse Clerk follows Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S practices to maintain an organized and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational, mathematical, and data entry skills, can interpret manufacturing instructions, and is committed to workplace safety, quality, and teamwork.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Measures and weighs daily remnants; restocks them when finished.
· Files production Lits daily. When stock is released from the warehouse to the shop it contains a picture of the part that is to be created. Once the part is machined, the paper Lit is returned to the warehouse for filing. The Lits must be filed daily and correctly.
· Follows the Lean Philosophy and practices the 5 S’s on a daily basis.
